We're looking for nude models again! They're so hard to find.

The Quinlan Visual Arts Center here in Gainesville needs a nude model for a figure drawing class...
$20 per hour for 6 classes, a total of 12 hours.

The days are April 5, 10, 12, 17, 19 24 between 1:45pm and 3:45pm

Even if you can't make this class, we're always needing nude models for different classes. Call the Quinlan and get on the model list. It's really easy!

I am proud to announce a brand new bellydance class on the horizon! Beginning Feb. 11th, I will be teaching bellydance at "The Body Sanctuary" yoga and fitness studio, formally "Crescent Moon Yoga". The studio is on the square in Gainesville, 224 Main Street, right across from the Georgia Mountains Center.

This class is for everyone, no matter if you're a beginner or you've had dance classes before, no matter what fitness level you are. Bellydance is a low impact aerobic exercise that is so much fun, you'll forget you're exercising. It works out muscles you didn't even know you had. And don't worry, you don't have to show your tummy! Wear anything that is soft and comfortable that will allow you to move easily.

Classes are $14 and are Saturdays, 9am-10am.

Did you know I moved Celestial Studios? Well I did. And the new place is working out great. I'm now located inside Main Street Market on the downtown Gainesville square. There are several other stores as well as a coffee shop and a little cafe inside the market. Come on by and see me!

I've decided to extend a Valentine's Day offer to my LJ friends who've been so supportive since I've been on board. If you make a portrait appointment by Feb. 14 and mention that you saw this offer on LJ, your sitting fee will be only $50. You will receive a cd with all your portraits to do with what you wish. Print them, email them, hey even make one your new LJ photo!

DO NOT allow your sweetheart to carry around that high school senior portrait of you anymore. People should be able to show off photos of their significant others without having to say, "he/she doesn't look exactly like this anymore".

This Friday, October 7th, Celestial Studios will be opening our newest show, "The Dumpster Diver Art Project". Come by to see works of art created from recycled and reclaimed media (i.e. trash). The exhibit will run October 7th-15th . Regular hours are 11:00am to 5:30pm.

Please drop by on Friday for our opening reception 7pm-9pm.

Hey kids!!

 Celestial Studios and Alchemy Drumming and Dance are hosting a Bellydance and Drum-a-thon Saturday September 24^th on the downtown square in Gainesville, Georgia.  For eight hours, yes eight hours, we have committed to a non-stop party to help out the Red Cross and the ASPCA.

 This event is open to the public so come on down!  Anywhere from 1pm to 9pm, grab a drum or a hipscarf and help us raise money and healing energy (and a few eyebrows) for the victims and rescue workers of Hurricane Katrina.
